Here's a map with two main fronts: one a direct route to the enemy HQ, but not much to
capture along the way, and the other more out of the way, but with plenty of property to
go for. Also, gaining the advantage one on front can easily allow you to attack the other
front from two sides.

I kept the bulk of the bases far from the action (at least until the ports get taken)
basically because I think it could make things interesting. With that said, I don't want
the early game to be too long and tedious; the predeployed APC's can hopefully mitigate that.

Let me know what you think.

Edit: Most of what I said about the map in this post is now obselete, in case you're
wondering why the map looks nothing like what's described.

Seems kind of bland

Yeah, kind of bland. It's also very, very open, which could lead to lots of tank spam. I don't
think the APCs will help the early game that much... I would suggest repositioning one of the
preowned bases to be closer to the HQ. A preowned lander on the neutral ports could also
be nice, to kick-start the lower fronts. Otherwise it will take forever for them to develop.

I would definitely suggest shaping the fronts a bit more using mountains, rivers, and forests.

I have (hopefully) spiced it up some.
walkerboh01 (03/24/2012 02:55am):
Much improved!
walkerboh01 (04/29/2012 06:01am):
I just naturally dislike mirror symmetry maps so much... It just ruins fronts hard, like beyond
repair. So even though the concept of this map is fairly decent, I can't in good faith give it more
than a 7/10.
