I don't like this map very much. |

As always cool map and neat name. Not sure how useful the bboats will be beyond repairs though... Or breaking the outer seams. |

They were mostly aesthetics. The black boats can actually speed infantry along specific paths faster than they otherwise would be able to do, along with standard repair nonsense. They also make it easier for Mechs to support center front. And there's two so you actually have to think about how you want to move them as efficiently as possible. |

A battleship produced will dominate the center of the map. |

With around 19k funds per player, it shouldn't be much of an issue. There's plenty of existing maps with central ports that rarely have battleships built, since the match is usually decided long before they become an option. If a player does take the time to build one, they sacrifice mostly a turn of build orders, and that can easily cost them the game. If they somehow don't lose after building a battleship, they can certainly try to push a win with it, but it's overall only really smart if you already have fund advantage, or are otherwise already winning the game. |

I think keeping this restricted to two bases was a good idea, even though it kind of defeats the purpose of the black boats (besides aesthetics, of course). The map is actually quite a bit smaller than it looks, and quite narrow. But the fronts should develop in such a way that they develop near the HQs, which hopefully is enough to make the game dynamic. If not, removing a mountain or swapping river for shoals in a couple places would probably do it. Maybe not your best work, but a very decent and playable map. 7/10. |
