It looks like you tried to give the lone base a lot of strong defensive points (the mountain chokes, the forests to prevent mobility). I think you should reverse that, and make it harder for them to defend; basically remove a mountain or two and deforest a bit. Instead of trying to drag out the base trade, I think the map should embrace it, because it's really well set up to be a great battle after the base trade. Plus, the double bases might get pulled into the middle a bit, in which case the lone base won't need all that extra protection anyways. Really nice map, cute name, and for someone who doesn't know what they're doing, you sure can fake it well. =) |

Personally I like the changes a lot. If you end up not liking the dynamic of the base trade and post-base-trade battles, you can also tweak it to try something else. I just see potential here for a type of map that is very rare and hard to pull off. |

I think I just need to get better at limiting my use of heavy terrain in general. I just don't want to make maps covered with nothing but roads and plains. Could be a nice change of pace, though. |

I understand the sentiment, I did the same thing for a while. It's definitely a little more challenging to design a cool map that is lighter on terrain without being all tank spam all the time. |

Man, this was back when I wasn't afraid to go crazy with terrain. Now all my new maps have that kind of streamlined feel. Might try to do this again at some point. I think this is one of the only maps that I've ever made that handled a base trade well, too. Wish there were more of those. |
