I'm extremely happy with how this turned out, any comments or suggestions?

Preowned transport to get the neutral base a turn faster? Otherwise no, this looks pretty damn
good. Would have to do playtesting to tell if there are any real problems.
Mori2 (05/02/2012 12:02pm):
Seconded on preowned transport.
Headphone (05/02/2012 04:47pm | Edited: 05/02/2012 04:47pm):
Just counted it out, it takes the same amount of turns for a bboat to reach the neutral base as it
it does right now, I could change up some of the terrain to speed up the capture of it.
But I think the long distance to the neutral base doesn't harm game play at all...
Mori2 (05/02/2012 05:14pm | Edited: 05/02/2012 05:15pm):
It takes 5 turns of infantry movement to get to the neutral base right now. It would take as
little as 3 turns of infantry movement to get there if a lander was placed, say, two tiles west
of the current pre-owned infantry, just as an example, either by the lander moving to the
shoal nearest the base, or by the lander dropping off the infantry on the mountain 5 tiles
west of the infantry's starting location.

You don't necessarily have to do that kind of placement either, I just think that, like in many
maps, a pre-owned lander or bboat on a map of this style could make the capture phase
more interesting. It is already a very solid map, by the way, these are just ideas.

Also, this map could be cool for AHC, what with the lack of empty silos.
Headphone (05/02/2012 06:45pm):
Ah, I was thinking about put transport on the other side, idk why.
I'm not sure I know what AHC means...

Oh, you will.

But in all seriousness, it's http://www.amarriner.com/awbw_forum/viewtopic.php?

This does look great in general though. I think my favorite part is the property distribution so
far, but I'm still looking at it.

Animated Turbo Cats.

I think this is 8 or 9 ish, all the games I've seen on it have been very cool.

I'm seriously miffed that I missed out on this being in the league and even being hall of
famed without playing more than one or two games on the map myself.

Player 2 can base skip turn two to stop P1 from getting their neutral base.
likegel (01/20/2023 02:14am | Edited: 01/21/2023 10:13am):
It doesn't seem very interesting. It just postponed the occupation of the third base
Forget it. I'm used to occupying directly. I missed the base,

I don't want to see this map again
switz_observer (02/13/2023 12:36pm):
A lot of chokepoints, forests and easy defendable HQ makes any strategy that isn't Indirect Wall'ing their part of map mostly
not viable.

Score: 2/10

I pity anyone would even attempt to play off-meta as if they have any chance.
Relyks Gaming (04/24/2024 04:32am):
5/10 Rating: I like the design of the map, but the biggest issue I have with it is the capture phase - it is hella slow... And not
only that, but the middle base is really out of position to really support. With 3 ports on the map, there's really no naval
battles going on so it's kind of boring in that regard, but I do like the placements of the Com-Ts being contested. But I don't
like the path ways in which the bases are located. In my match, it was easy enough to use block my opponents base with a
B-Copt, so that just adds to the way the capturing is done as well, since the capture phase takes so long. Probably would
have been better with less travel and more action.
Overall, it isn't great, but it is far from horrible. It is as average as average gets.
Rock Golem (07/18/2024 06:49pm):
OK so, base skip recon, Miiiiiiight be a problem. Maybe.
