perfect example of overcompensation of FTA. not only does BM start a turn ahead, they will always be a turn ahead. OS will ONLY be able to try to keep up. Blue moon will move first, capture the neutral base first, produce units from the second base first, capture property first, reach the Com tower first, get to the second base and airport first, and the middle first, and, this may come as a surprise to you from all of the other things that they do first, win first. and in a game only 1 person needs to do that. |

allright, so if I remove that infantry, OS starts first, and it goes FTA. If I leave it there it's FTA. Then how the hell do I fix it? |

My suggestion? give both players 2 starting bases, then keep the BM infantry. Countering FTA with an odd number of bases get's tricky. Especially with smaller maps where it's harder to be creative to fix up the issues. Even number of bases is the most common start for maps, espoecially 2, as that leads to the least issues with turn order. Also every starting property that gets added, city or production facility, needs to be compensated for accurately to keep the fta counter appropriate. the goal is to put the second play at a half turn ahead at the start of the game, so that neither country will ever be a full turn ahead. |
