Yeah, that's probably it. You should definitely add properties so there's around 12k per side. It'd also be better if you moved the bases out from the corners a bit, made the towers less contested, and didn't clump all the terrain near the center. You also have some FTA problems with all the preowned cities, and missile silos in general are a bad idea but especially when they're contested in the middle. |

I don't want to criticize this too much because you're trying, and improving. At the moment, I'd say next step is a veto on that center airport. |

Alright, it's definitely looking better. The next step is to try not to arrange everything in lines. Take a look at some of these maps: http://awbw.amarriner.com/categories.php? categories_id=15. That is the type of city distribution you should be looking for, rather than laying it out geometrically. Also, I like the addition of the rivers, but not so much how you placed them. Putting them as straight lines in the center means you just created a chokepoint, and it's right in the center of the map. Instead, start them at a higher/lower location and make them curve a bit. You can use them to create interesting routes and fronts for units to travel and fight on. Finally, don't be afraid to spread out your terrain! Having large sections of maps that are all similar terrain (like how a lot of your map is covered in plains) isn't very good for battles. You don't want to randomly scatter terrain all over, of course, but try to spread it out a bit. |

Well now you took all the terrain out of the center. xD Throw some forests or roads in there haha. Your symmetry is way off in the center with the cities, need to fix that. I would add some bridges over the rivers, too, and shift one of the bases so it's not right in the corner. |

centre terrain added bridges i think i've sorted the cities, and for the moment i want to keep the bases in the corner i'll experiment with moving bases in later maps but to start with i'd like to keep them where they are |
