I'm going to rate you an 8 for this map. It looks like it would play well, but I think you have an excess of properties for my taste, and not enough sea! Maybe make the map 5x5 larger, and just have more sea tiles in between the islands.. Very nice map, though! |

For a sea battle, you need water, and lots of it! Perhaps if the properties were more spread out and more sea, it would mean more sea units for fighting with! If you recall the WR map Ring Island, that has loads of water and fighting with. Matter of fact I should get to making a replica of that.... my thirst for sea battles has not been quenched yet xD |

*coughNaval Combatcough* And yeah, there're a few too many chokepoints for effective naval combat - submerged subs can easily halt an enemy advance. |

too many cities too close and the bases cant effectively transport troops would be frustrating in fog |

Could maybe use one or two reefs in the center sea to make it interesting in FOW, but otherwise, seems a lot better now. |

Nice design with the ports but too dependent on battleships and launchers, no direct land combat. maybe just a single or two airports at the far ends of the map would make it better. Now many say it spoils the naval combat but at least can make it less artillery, more action. Plus black has a port at the south where he can reach the southern island with 11 citys before yellow so this may change the fate of the game... All this salty sea reminds me of the amiga game pirates :D |
