DoctorSpacebar (08/12/2012 03:01pm | Edited: 08/12/2012 03:13pm):
Simple "The cavalry is on its way" map, 5 Megatanks, 3 A-Airs, 2 Carriers, and 2 Rockets, plus five Infs in APCs should be able to decimate BM. BM's job is to try and crush OS before that happens. Made in the spirit of "Two-Week Test" from Black Hole Rising, complete with Battleship, but instead of a turn limit, OS has... the Cavalry. Possible problems: -Can the OS "Cavalry" possibly be killed without BM completely ignoring the HQ-side troops? If so, OS may not have a chance... -Does it give BM too much time (so the Cavalry is always TOO LATE (MUAHAHAHAHAHA)) or too little time (so the Cavalry always beats them to the punch)? -Does the Blue Moon Battleship hurt balance at all? -Carriers bad? -Is the Com Tower worth bothering with? Should it be changed to OS (to give the base a fighting chance and up the power of the Cavalry), or left as is? -Aren't the closed off Silos just hilarious? -The Airport... good? bad? ugly? -Do COs like Max, Jess, or Adder (especially Adder) make the cavalry too effective because of movement bonuses? (Darn Sidewinder...) Similarly, would Olaf and Von Bolt be too good at slowing targets (either by snow or by Stun)? (Come to think of it, Sturm and Von Bolt have those heavy-damage area attacks... may need to ban them to keep the Cavalry safe! Hawke and Drake could pose a problem for a similar reason... however, Andy can counter them with Hyper Repair, or alternatively, an opponent Hawke can just do the same thing.) |
