You'll want some form of FTA counter on here at some point. Otherwise, this is pretty creative, if fairly chokey around the bottom and top of the map. |

Wow, thanks. I might've been in the middle of editing when you posted, so here it is finished... |

It has some influences (a lot) from airob's maps. Like most of 2p my maps, I wind up having really good looking but ultimately chokey maps. It looks like it'd play better as a broken map if anything, but that kind of kills the unique strategy of this map. I need to find my own style already, dammit >:I EDIT: Landers blocking the shoals are going to be an issue, but hopefully it could be overcome by agreement not to abuse that feature... |

There mere layout of this map is awesome. It has quite a few issues to resolve, but for the pure aesthetic and possibly more than satisfactory gameplay, this map has reached a spot in my favs. |

Slight symmetry mistake. The YC city in the bottom right is slightly closer to the base than GS' base. Edit: After testing this in a game vs Xushu, I think stealths should be a unit ban. Even if you built a fighter the same turn your opponent built a stealth they still have three or four turns before the fighter can make it to the opposite side bridge between the two bases, which is where the stealths will likely end up doing the most damage... Black bombs, while they are usually banned, are especially dangerous here, with the narrow and almost chokey fronts as well as the high funds of this map leading to plenty of expensive units often clustering close together... The capture phase can be very disorienting and choosing where to attack is key here. Do you rush the enemy HQ? Do you break your pipe seam near your HQ to aid in cutting off the bases towards the corner? Do you amass an army to cross the bridges and storm the base on the other side? Do you play defensively while focusing on all the neutral cities on the outside ring of this map, accumulating funds so you can outtech your opponent earlier? I do really like this map, even though playing on it can be very confusing. But the dynamic map design here makes the game that much more exciting than your standard 3-base-wide-main-front-defensive-chokepoints-tank-spamming maps. AWBW needs more maps like this. :) |

This map has design issues. The bases in the northwest and southeast corners are not symmetrical. Yellows is one infantry move away from a city that grey is two moves away from. Also, there is significant fta as the black boats can block Grey's port from being captured while he cannot do the same to yellow. |

I never really got what you meant by the bases being uneven, until I realized that you were referring to the infantry units. Those are FTA counters. You have half (or preferably slightly fewer) infantry units than the number of bases on the second turn team's side. And yeah. I now see the issue with FTA blocking in black boats. I'll check if I can still fix it. |

The new solution is to move the central black boats back a bit. I really want to encourage activity on the central front. I've replaced the other black boats with T copters, which are more balanced on the narrower fronts because they're less viable as early game meat shields. Maybe a larger version of this map would be better. I'm considering making one. |

Map analysis says that there wasn't too much air combat on the map. If I do remake this, I'd really want to change that, and of course make the exterior bits less chokey. You can't deploy naval units here, and while that was intentional, I don't think that I would retain that aspect on a new map. It could all really stand to be opened up. |

This is great map, albeit with a symmetry error: On the top row, the rightmost city lacks an equivalent on the bottom row. |
