Just a quick note for those who plan to comment: I need CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. If there are too many cities, tell me which ones I can do away with. If the terrain needs a few changes, tell me what parts of the map are causing problems. Errors in mirroring are also things that I would like pointed out. All ideas and opinions will be considered within reasonable limits. Thank you in advance. |

If you need to get rid of some cities, remove 2 from the center and 1 from each mountain pass near the HQ. You should also try making the rivers less straight. Same for the roads. |

This map works very well in Fog. I don't recommend removing any cities, as with the 2 (and a half) fronts it's necessary to have some decent money. Good pacing to the map. Players have to make decisions very early. The long roads around make the inevitably long battle much more manageable while the numerous forest/mountain areas give places to fortify defense. The only thing I would probably change is to make some of the neutral cities near each player start with ownership. This isn't necessary, and is purely to speed up the early parts of the game. The way it is now is more strategic, but it takes around 6 to 7 turns to even consider encountering the opponent (especially in Fog). Again, early game pacing is merely a preference thing. |

x0_000: I finished a game on the map a while ago, and yes, I think I'll be removing two cities from the central island because that extra 2k can really tip the scales too much, especially if one side manages to fully secure it. All the other cities will stay, though. I don't think I'll be changing the roads and rivers too soon either because I'd have to move everything around. Neotherin: I've noticed the slow pacing at the beginning as well. I'll make the two cities nearest to the HQs pre-owned to speed things up a little when I have the chance. |
