Alright, so let me explain the premise of this map... the name is "Tourny Ladder Push" because of the layout of the map. In a tournament ladder, you have to essentially fight a sequence of 1v1 matches until you run out of remaining opponents. Hence, you see this with this map. For example, Red Fire and Orange Star are pretty much set to face off versus one another because of their distance in comparison to all other opponents, Now no matter who wins between these two, they are both the same distance from either purple or green. Eventually, you will end with one force on each half of the map with the most likely point od skirmish being the choke point in the middle. This is version 1.0, so it's still in the test stages. |

Version 1.1 Update: I've switched around the match-ups to try to weaken the first turn advantage. Oh, and if you see anything wrong with this map, or you see something that could be improved, lay it on me. I'm definitely open to improving things for the better. |

If you want to have a 4 v. 4 map, this map is horribly inbalanced. |

I can see what you're saying, but you're not completely correct. You see, you are thinking in terms of left vs. right in a 4v4, causing the team on the left to have an uber starting bonus. But what if the teams were top vs bottom, causing two split conflicts? This would eliminate forcing 8 armies in the narrow choke point, and speed up the overall length of the game. |

GaoGaoStegosaurus (12/14/2005 04:18am):
Swapping the locations doesn't really work in this instance even for 4v4 (rotate the GE+YC, BH+RF, and BD+GS factions counterclockwise for equal FTA) because then each team will get to move FOUR players before the other team even gets a chance to respond. Needless to say, ONE team will get utterly obliterated. If you want to fix the map so that it's also 4v4 compatible or 2v2v2v2, you'll have to re-arrange all the nations. Put some more thoughts into it, and it can be done. ^^ |

Pretty decent map but I would use it more for a team game. GaoGaoStegosaurus is right (i think) But it is supposidly(i misspelled for a reason) intended for teams instead of free for all. |

You should probably replace one of the starting cities from each country with a base, because just one starting base usually isn't enough, especially for a map this big. |
