Theres things i might like to change but I'm not sure yet. We'll see.
I'm thinking FFA, and i think it balances. YC, though they are the largest by far have to
deal with 4 different nations at once. All the others have at least two other nations to
deal with. So interesting diplomacy maybe?
I also like the idea of exploring positions like RF.

Generally you try and give every player an equal number of starting funds and make sure its
broken up evenly. That is, if you give BM 5 cities and 1 base to start, giving YC 3 bases and 3
cities to start is not fair even though funds are even. Also, you should try to create each
player's position equally accessible to nearby enemies and the same distance from properties
they need to capture. If one army can reach a neutral base within 3 turns, everybody should be
able to. Think about what each player would do on their first, second third etc. days and see if
they reach everything fairly. Also, think about what the map will look like once everybody has
captured all the properties. Will that look evenly distributed?

Red Fire is spread out a lot and has only 3 bases with very few properties nearby. Compare
that to Blue Moon who has the same starting funds but with 1 less base. Because of how close
some of those cities are and because all of the properties are together behind a lot of
mountains, BM stands a better chance. As walker pointed out, YC has over 20 k starting funds,
more than double the next highest player, and 4 bases to use it on. YC will probably capture
most of the neutral bases and dominate very early, including an easy RF HQ capture. The
fairest fight here might be everyone vs YC.

If you need tips or advice, the forum has a good map making guide. Also, pay attention to
feedback from other users, particularly those with a lot of experience or on the map making
committee (their comments show up in blue). Feel free to browse other users' maps and take
tips from their criticism as well. Happy map making :)
