Crudely and boring map Moreover, the design of the coast limits the early order of base construction. As long as high-level players become familiar with it, they will plan ahead and attack, leading to economic backwardness of their opponents |

Doesn't every map have a somewhat optimized capture phase? Most maps try to preserve a certain Tempo. When mapmakers use heavy terrain or landers to limit the speed of the capture phase, players complain that it takes forever to begin fighting. I do think the fronts are a bit narrow especially without airports, and it doesn't stalemate enough to enable naval battles so it becomes two fights for the HQs. |
