For a mixed base map, there is little possibility of front shifting or much dynamic play. The cruiser is there to prevent air assaults on the base I guess. It's more of two base and an airport vs 1 base. |

Judging by the spacing from the airport, I'd say it's more than plausible to get a 3-4 tile movement boost for your copters using the cruisers. It's not a huge benefit, but certainly a useful interaction for front-shifting or catching your opponent off guard when initiating a capture attempt on their HQ. Imagine you loaded your cruiser up with 2 T-copters that were each carrying Mechs. You could catch your opponent off guard because Mechs can march over the river-terrain faster than ordinary infantry, now imagine if you chose a CO with a movement power like Koal or Adder and you have a serious threat. |
