This is just a test to improve my knowledge on FTA.

Tips on how to make this better balance are welcomed!

lol, ty

I am using the distance factor to even it out here. I might need to make the map bigger too 0_0

Tips on how to make this more balanced: For FTA counter on a 4 player free-for-all match, you
should arrange it so that Orange and Blue are on diagonal opposite corners. For a better
explanation on why, check out my FTA tutorial map with the topic Multiplayer! FFA. I think it's Part 9
in my series.

Also, once you have that setup you should give the teams that go last (Green and Yellow) an FTA
counter. Typically the goal is to give a 1/2 turn advantage to the players that go second so that
compared to the players that go first half of their battle is ahead of the enemy and part of it is
behind the enemy. Most of the time this requires an even number of starting bases per player.
Then you would assume that each player builds 2 infantry on the first turn and as a result, give
the last player(s) 1 infantry. Keep in mind that if you give a player too many funds to start, they
might build something other than 2 infantry on the first turn, so making an FTA counter with an
infantry might not be effective.

Again, I cover most of this is greater detail in the comments on my map series. Those maps are
meant to be an example to visualize how these things will develop. If you'd like, feel free to send
me a message and I'll answer any questions you have about map making. Disclaimer: I don't claim
to know all the answers, and the answers I give you might not be the answers you're hoping for
