I personally think that there is too many air for this map to be really a heavy
naval map unless you ban stealth,copters and bombers. I would reccomend
giving the central players a lab, So one could set bombers lab units, while
banning battle copters and stealth to get a more heavy naval battle

Carriers will be pretty good on this map, being protected mostly by the terrain. The excessive shoals really destroy any capacity for naval combat aside from battleships and carriers. This especially applies to the central players.
There's only like two paths naval units can travel to meet each other, and both can be easily blocked by black boats.
Remove some of the islands and shoals, add some ghosted ports so that naval units can travel through them (and discourage rockets from being used instead (due to the lack of healing), and open up the sea and naval units will become more viable overall.

I think you need to open up a path through the middle if you want to encourage naval combat. RF
and OS have to go all the way around to the outside of the map to see any naval combat which
makes them pretty much useless unless they get that airport by the pipes or something.

Yeah the center is awfully congested now that I look at it, will tinker with it
to see the best way to open it up.

Even removing the shoal 3N, 1E from the OS HQ would help a lot because it at least
provides a path from OS's port to the center. Alternatively, turning the city due north of
OS's port into a ghost port (and removing the shoal) would work. Anyway, I'll leave the
choice up to you, but just some thoughts.

there is an asymmetry. The left path has a place where the path(north to south) is only two tiles wide, while the
other path has not.

Yeah, good catch. It makes a difference in gameplay too (for obvious reasons). I prefer
the wider version, personally.

Also, on the right hand side in the same area, the shoal next to one of the island cities
is facing down instead of sideways. Plays the same, but looks a little funny.

Well color me surprised. This isn't showing up in BamboozleIII's published maps and the account only had 29
maps on it. But this exists under that account.

I guess the bugs are evolving

Also this map looks way more empty than I thought it did. Probably gonna change that later

Edit: Ok, on further examination this definitely isn't meant to be this empty. Either I, for some reason, published it
without filling up a third of the map or the bugs are evolving even more. Airports are gone, half the cities are gone, a
couple bases missing. Will fix this soon.
