JJames19119 (12/18/2005 03:34am):
Here it is, my map. I tried as hard as I could to make it balanced, since it's not symmetrical. Both YC and BM have average positions, BM being close to the middle "Breaking Point" while YC will have a few more cities and better terrain. OS and GE are harder to play due to the advanced strategies involved. OS is the farthest away from any Base and won't have a captured city by it's third turn like the other countries but skilled players will benefit from a lot more cities than the other countries and can overpower others. GE is closer to a lot of bases including the Breaking Point, but offers far, far less cities. Even the two "off the beaten path" cities above the middle won't get you as many funds as the other countries, leaving your bases to waste unless you're, like, Colin or Hachi. Grit also has an advantage there because of the closed in space that corner gets. This is why CO Bans are invented people. ;) GE can be very, very hard to play as without those COs. As for the map itself, shoals cover what would've been a very tight map, also dubbed "Where I learned shoals and seas are imperfect in AWBW". Trust me, this map looks ten times better in the real game. The mountains covering the two cities in the middle provide great cover for Infentry and Mechs while almost guarenting a capture. And if you're Hachi, you can also deploy Rockets here with your SCOP and be a cheap SOB. ;D Again, CO Bans people. Make good use of the shoal bridges and take control of the center to win this map. Hope you enjoy it! |
