"After playing on Crossed Sparkles and looking at some games on the map, I vote that we remove it from Global League instantly. The capture phase is a total mess of infantry collisions, which leads to a mid-game that is a total mess of tank collisions. The terrain doesn't work at all for defending key locations, mostly because all of the bases have to go through the same route to get to the outer properties. I'm also fairly sure that there's STA with regards to vehicle production." That was my reasoning for removing from Global League. It's a 7/10 for me. |

First impressions say this could be a fun map but there could easily be some problems. Perhaps imbalance associated with the lander though thats not really clear, theres no obvious major achievement one needs to get rapidly with the lander? re walkers critique... just wondering what is wrong with a bit of a mess in the capture phase? Is that not just infantry fighting. I think whoever judges those battles best may deserve to win. At least this kind of map would provide different battle scenario than many maps which get a bit boring because of standoff ? Yes maybe it is wierd but maybe its worth having one or two such maps around to stretch our strategy ideas . Maybe this map plays out somewhat like mixed up bases maps which some players dont like too much either? Think im gonna try this map.. the landers may give imbalance. |

yes, this map is too narrow for a nice battle with common units, I make this map mostly for fun... Ah, any advice is welcome :) or maybe we can make a similar but bigger one for gl or something alike.. |

@cryaciccl ... Don't delete or change this original map. As yet there is no solid reason to think there is any problem. It is certainly not narrow in the usual sense in fact looking over games and now playtesting it seems fairly expansive to me. Don't trust first impressions and don't jump to conclusions, AW is a highly complex and deep strategy game. Exponentially deeper than chess for example. That's why there's no decent AI for AW. |

Thanks! I am really enjoying playing this map in several test games especially in fog. I might well be losing all because there seems to be a very difficult balance between short term solid usual deployment versus starting various long term plans such as the expeditions to islands. Its is really difficult if nigh impossible to calculate so far ahead especially in fog when you can't see the opponent. That's why intuition and creative ideas with strategic ideas should hopefully succeed where exact calculation just is impossible. Hey I didn't notice. That one island has nothing on it? Why not put something? Perhaps some predeployed marooned mechs waiting to be rescued or properties or missile silo. That would really give the lander difficult choices where to go first! |
