2 vs 2. FoW recommended. Battle for a land bridge. |

Contrary to popular belief, adding a lot of forests doesn't make a map better suited for FoW. Usually it makes it really annoying in FoW and removes a lot of the tactical aspects of the game. This map would be painful enough normally anyway because units will take forever to get anywhere. The bases are so far back and the center is so terrain dense that it takes a tank almost as many turns as an infantry to reach the center. Don't even try to use rockets, you'll just never get there. Same goes for recons in FoW- as if they would show you anything anyway. Sturm would have a field day on this map. Lash might too because of the +20% attack and her COP movement bonus. Sonja would be the only reasonable choice to FoW unless you didn't ban Sturm. Moral of the story- If you want a fun and playable map, I'd take out a minimum of 50% of the forests and add in some roads here and there. (or closer bases... or both) |

I'd argue it works just fine for FoW. You would have to ban the COs that would have an obvious advantage, naturally. It's not supposed to be a battle you win easily, but one that is won with cunning, and a bit of luck with risky moves. Still, I'll tweak it a bit. |

I heartily disagree with you in that it will be a battle "won with cunning, and a bit of luck..." so much as it will be a battle won with a lot of luck, a lot of out-waiting your opponent and hoping they get booted first, and some basic strategy. It's not very difficult to meatshield in a huge forest in FoW. Also, FoW or not, I still stand by the fact that the forests still create another (bigger) problem in that it's going to take forever for any vehicles to make progress. It will be a very slow game with little advancement one way or another- the FoW aspect just enhances that considerably. |

Changed the map considerably now. Lot less forest and there's a road leading towards the center for both sides. |
