5 bases and 2 airports per player is probably a bit much, you'll get a lot of
infantry/mech/copter spam.

Perhaps that is how it would go. Like, there's nothing really stopping people from doing
that on a lot of maps, but I'm not sure how effective it would be here since there are
enough properties on each side (22, plus two cities right in the middle on the left side
to fight over) to build anti-airs artillery, tanks, etc... consistently each turn and
infantry/mechs are relatively slow moving over to key spots to clog them up. Except maybe
on the right side because the bases are closer to the bridge. B-Copters are faster, but
again, anti-airs would then be prevalent as one side tries to counter the other's strategy
since the airports are really far away from main conflict points. So I'd think the game
would play out however players play it.

Though infanfry/mech/copter storming is a strong strategy... Hmmm... Maybe I'll tweak it a
bit once I can. There's a game being played on it now so I can't. From the looks of the
game, infantry are being used mostly on the right and the left has a multitude of stuff
going on.
