Funds are probably too low for this since the map is designed for heavy air/naval play. 20k income is just enough to get 1 cheaper (combat) air/naval unit per turn and nothing else. I'd recommend 1.5x funding to see more naval/air units outside of subs and b-copters. Also, when placing airports, bases, and ports, you should make sure that no unit built one any of these can attack a unit an an enemy base/airport/port in one move. Right now, fighters can make it to the enemy airport in one turn and either attack or cover and b-copters can do the same with bases. Generally speaking, it's also a good idea to have more neutral area to fight over that doesn't involve production facilities. Right now your airport islands do a good job of this, but the airports make it a little imbalanced. If you moved the airports to a location that more obviously belonged to one side or the other and added a couple cities or a tower in the area they're in now I think the map would be much nicer. Overall a good map for your first upload! |

You're correct, FTA is another thing to consider. There's also a link to that on the new forum: http://isndev.omgforum.net/t680-fta-extended-by-smackcakes Along with a map making 101 resource too: http://isndev.omgforum.net/t681-intro-to-mapping-101-by-fugue Also, you can feel free to make changes to this map as well if you like. You don't have to if you don't want, but that's always an option if you want to improve on what you've already made. |
