The big problem is FTA. 3 bases need carefull countering and increased funding as well. |

The high starting funds, central contested properties, and large number of contested silos all contribute greatly to FTA as well. Generally, I wouldn't suggest more than a silo or two per player (2 can be a lot) and they shouldn't ever be "up for grabs" meaning that both players have an "equal chance" of getting there first (by definition, it won't actually be equal in a turn based game). Also, bases/airports/ports shouldn't really be located near the very center of a map and they shouldn't be placed within one unit's move of each other. In other words, if I build a fighter and it can reach your airport in one move, that leaves you in a sticky situation before you even have a chance to build on your airport. |
