Welcome to Pilgrim Islands. This a map strongly influenced by the high usage of B.Boats and Landers. The map intention is to be played as north vs south. As you can notice there are a pair of ports that are specially designed to build naval transport units, aswell there are beach passages for only naval units. Also the small islands are too compact, but this makes interesting the usage of submarines and B.Ship aswell you can place some rockets on particular cities in order to harass your hostile resident. Also I'm considering to create a 22x22 version (instead 20x20) that gives an airport to each player with the same islands BUT less compacted in the centre. |

Looks interesting, naval action between tight-knit areas is fun, although I think those main center islands are a bit too defensible. FTA counter would help too. |

After having played a team fog game OS+YC vs BM + GE here is my impression: The map is very well done for a naval island map. The FTA counter is ok on the team level. After the capture phase the game gets a high stalemate potential which is the only "bad" side of a really good map. Overall (8/10) from me. I think that the alternative idea of IPS to add airports might reduce the stalemate potential. |
