My first attempt at an asymmetric map. I think it turned out well, but I'll need to playtest before I'm sure.
the-deadly-shadow (01/09/2016 05:43am):
I notice that PL has two bases from which an infantry can reach a city. Once the PL
airport is captured, the infantry can reach the city in one run (though capturing the city
first and the airport later might be better if you are not using the airport early on).
Also there are two cities east of the eastern base which are 3 tiles apart. While PC needs
a turn to travel to get from one property to another. I think this are four cityplacements
that favour PC.

Furthermore I guess PL's territory is a little more wheel(and snow)-friendly. That's
mainly becpis of the PL base whithout starting infantry. The amount of space a recon can
reach without crossing more than one non road/shoal/bridge is really large, while for the
corresponiding PC base(the western one), it is much smaller.

When I am dividing the area between HQ to PL and PC, I see that the PL cities are closer
to each other and closer to the bases.

However I think this map does still look great. I hope you give it some thought and spent
some time sharing your views about the ballance of the map.

Thanks for the comments, I tweaked the property distribution and base positions, as well as terrain around the
bases, to fix most of the balance issues.

The map is meant to play as a 1v1 on both sides with the last neutral base providing "reserve forces" to either
side to make for interesting deployment decisions. It should also be noted that the neutral base can send
vehicles down the middle, where they can reach either side quickly and contribute to the central fight, whereas
vehicles from either of the wing bases are more or less committed to one side of the map, with options for
switching into the middle. I think the mountains allow you to deploy infantries flexibly as well by allowing
footsoldier access while blocking vehicle access to force you to make routing decisions.

I do hope peopel have fun on this map, cheers :)
