It seems to be designed for piperunners...... So you need a higher income, or players can not afford so many expensive units...... As the land front is not so important in this map, having so many factories will not be a big problem. Stalemates may be an issue though. |

Hi daviddebe and welcome to AWBW! From what I can tell, this is your first design map; it's always nice to see new people making maps :) If you ever have any questions about map design (or anything, really), feel free to send a message to me or any of my fellow Map Committee members; you can recognize us by our blue comments. AWBW has been around for quite a while and over the years the community has gathered a lot of information on what makes a good map. I have a written guide on the forum that can be used as a resource and I highly recommend it to all new map makers because it will help you understand what the rest of the community (especially us old-timers) will appreciate and enjoy playing on. Heck, a similar guide written by my predecessors on the Map Committee is where I got my start. Anyway, I'll paste the link below, so feel free to pop on over to the forum and give it a look. It took me like 15 min to see my airport as GE hahaha, space them properties out maybe? The map's missing an FTA counter too, but someone above says the land front is not so important so idk... |

For all intents and purposes, this map has no land front. However, that does not mean that the FTA counter is unimportant. |

Hey daviddebe! I am also relatively new to this site, and I love designing maps. This is quite an interesting concept for a map. I would like to make a couple solid suggestions for it though.. I think those 4 bases in the center of the map should be replaced with either 4 shoal tiles, 4 plains tiles or 4 pipe tile. Having 4 properties in the very center of the map like that, especially bases, creates a situation where one player ends up with most or all of them, and then the whole battle becomes unbalanced after that. It is almost impossible for both players to each own two of those bases in the middle, and once one person takes over those center tiles, the battle will pretty much be over. Also, this map is a heavy naval and pipe runner battle, so it will need a lot of funding. There are not really enough properties to support a heavy naval battle, but you could just tell players to always play with increased funds. Anyway, it is an cool map with a unique style. I like it. Keep up the good work! |
