OS and BM fight over an industrial city. Airports are hospitals and thus have helipads, cities are apartment complexes, bases are factories, launched missile silos are buildings in construction, com towers are radio broadcasting stations and ports are trading ports. I don't care who or what you ban, besides planes. And look at the beautiful little park. Well, maybe instead of war we could have a picnic. Anyways, have fun on this map. (P.S. You should ban planes, since you know planes usually don't lift off from helipads.) |

Clumped cities are not good for game play. You should give more place to parks. You can even have more woods for a green city. |

As a general rule, it's a bad idea to have more than two capturable properties adjacent to each other, and even pairs of two should be restricted to one or two instances on any given map. They usually result in either impossible-to-break defensive lines, a mad (Sami) rush to the center, an escalation of FTA, an unstable battle progression or any combination of the above. Imagine that your opponent captures a string of cities and plants units on all of them and you have to dislodge them. Well, all you have to attack from are roads, so you'll probably take at least as much damage in counterattack as you dealt in the first place (in like unit machups, inf vs inf, tank vs tank, etc.) if you use any direct units, so that leaves indirects as the only safe option. Where do you put them? On your own string of cities, of course, so that your opponent can't break through your line either. Can you see where I'm going with this? It's just not a very healthy way for a battle to progress and doesn't leave a lot of options/variability in gameplay. The best maps offer a wide variety of viable strategies so different players will choose different tactics and you'll never really know what your opponent will do. |
