You see, the only way Jake and Koal will ever get picked is when you ban all but the Low Tier.

Then again, Jake actually likes chokepoints more, and Koal is just a slow (and thus weak) Adder, so yeah.

As I see it, Adder and Koal play like power-reliant bland COs.
Charge up the powers, and watch as you zone the opponent little by little, ala Grit, due to the threat of +1 move.
The road bonus is just like a situational Com Tower, nothing very good, especially considering roads are often adjacent to
plains or cities, and 10% def > 10% atk due to the weirdness of the damage formula. Jess has like 15% more atk with
vehicles for comparison.
So yeah.

(Can't really give details, but imma say defense is absolute while offense is relative. You will deal no damage to a Kanbei
mech on mountains during SCOP, not even with a Kindle bomber during SCOP and say, even a hundred cities.)

First of all, this map lacks FTA counter.

I pick Jake sometimes(with all high tier COs banned) for the extra arty range. His SCOP
and COP are quite different which also helps for the right situation. So I wouldn´t say
Jake is never picked.

This map might favour Max more than Koal and Jake. Max has 20% fire power bonus
everywhere. The contested cities are important, so there is no time to bring slow
indirects to the front and no time to get a real meatshield.

(Jess does only have 10% more firepower and Kambei mech do take damage on mountains,
unless they are full HP)

Yeah, the other comments have hit the nail on the head: It's nearly impossible to design a map that will specifically
favor Jake/Grit over other COs. You're almost guaranteed to at least have several options that are better, so
without bans they'll almost never be top choices.

I thought the two least played CO's might be Flak and Jugger. Flak is a good contender for
Worst AW CO, mostly for being arguably worse than Andy D2D, and Jugger isn't much better,
though at least Jugger looks cool.
Though, I suppose it doesn't make much sense to make a Flak map, what situation is he even
good in? So I get I guess I get it that you picked Jake and Koal, since that just means
adding plains and roads.

Flak map = predeployed enemy megatanks vs his inf swarm + some way to fill up the CO gauge

EDIT: imo AW2 Sonja is worst CO, even in fog; you get enough vision with enough infs (some on mountains) anyway, plus
it's often really easy to guess the HP of the units you have to OHKO (people somehow overestimate their relative unit
count whenever they talk about Sonja, nope you can't just shuffle units)
In an equivalent matchup, she's going to lose most trades with that luck. Counter Break is an almost-Lightning Strike, yeah,
but more than half the time, she's already rekt when she gets to use it. So yeah.
