Dreadnought (08/31/2016 12:50pm | Edited: 08/31/2016 12:55pm):
Many newcomers seem to like mass pre-deployed maps especially when they start out map building but as is
commonly discussed on this site, generally maps with mass pre-deployed units suffer from a couple problems,
namely FTA and lack of strategic play because of endless hordes of units simply killing each other. This map
looks to solve both of these problems in a unique way. As for the easy part, strategy, this map has a set
number of units (assuming both hachi and sensei are banned) and therefore all of your decisions matter as you
must make each unit count. Second and more challenging is the prospect of FTA. I want your guys input here
but the way I went about solving this is a combination of both the wall of apcs and a general lack of movement
options when this game starts out. I'm not positive but I think that because OS must sacrifice one of their units
in order to begin an assault on the same unit for BM even though OS can then mass reorder their units they
must still break BM's line which could leave them exposed to a counter attack on more important units causing
possible STA if OS is not careful. Additionally BM starts the game with one more movement option than OS to
still try and mitigate FTA. So in conclusion this map is designed to force each side to plan their assault carefully
if they hope to outlast their opponent and win.

As for bans at least broken 5 minus Colin and probably Vonbolt and Sturm and maybe mass damage but let me
know what you guys think.

double posting sucks

Notes:
- You won't be able to heal the Megatank with the amount of funds, so unless you are using it for resupply...
- Maybe put better terrain on BM's APCs (Empty Silos/Roads for OS)?
- 1 comm tower (on the bomb's tile) would be nice for me, but Javier might mess that up.
- You can just sit there and wait for a long time as neither side is willing to remove their units and risk counter attacks by
breaking line.
- Not enough indirects, but I can see how it would be too much. Grit isn't that OP here as there's only 2 units that he
benefits
and all his other units are weak.
