Alright! So this map turned out a lot bigger than I at first anticipated, and it also took forever to click on all of these little tiles. I think I got the FTA counter correct, but if I didn't please tell me how I can make it better! This map was inspired by one of the War Rooms missions in AWDS. (I was playing it last night, got an S rank on it!) The map has 4 fronts, the 2 sides, the middle and anywhere that you are able to place a lander really. (Does that make it 3 fronts?) There's a lot of cash flow, but that's also because the map has 4 bases, 2 airports and 3 ports so there is a lot of decisions to make. The capture phase should be interesting since for the most part you will be uncontested until you reach any of the fronts. I think late game lander and naval battles will become very important. Let me know what you think, and if you think there's anything that could be improved! |

Finally a large competitive map. The FTA counter for 4 bases (please tell me I counted it right.) should be two infntry. Although I think you'll need more than that since OS's unit on the HQ has FTA over BM's. Loved the center dwsign. (..d'e'sign.) Naval battle will be really interesting here. |

Darn. I did counted it wrong. Although it would probably still be two inf. for BM anyway. (not including the ones on the HQs.) Although I'm probably wrong, as for I never really used pre-deployed units. |

The FTA counter is slightly off, but it's a tough thing to catch. You start with 3 bases, so normally that would mean you give one infantry to BM on a base and give BM one city within a single day's move of an OS base. However, the catch here is that you also have a predeployed infantry on each HQ, and these infantry will capture the neutral base nearby. In essence, this is the same as starting with 4 bases because there are 4 independent production points that each player will have, regardless of any other units they purchase. As a result, the FTA counter should be a standard 4-base counter, giving BM two predeployed infantry and making their city neutral. I suggest giving them the second infantry on their center base, the one at the end of those islands running through the middle. Alternatively, you could move their HQ infantry 3 spaces closer to the neutral base instead, but I like the other counter better. |

Thanks for the comments. I think I'll do what you said and put another bm infantry on the starting island and take away the city so that OS can have more options for an opener as well. There's a hiccup in symmetry in the bottom half of the map that I need to fix as well, just some missing roads near the neutral center base. Gonna edit it after the games on it are done. Anything about the design of the map? I tried really hard to not make this one feel too chokey, but I think the naval and air help with that a lot. Even if it's a ridiculous amount of funding. |
