The FTA here's a bit complicated since it involves a lot of units. So it would probably be better if you just use
minimal units and to rearrange base locations if you want something to be captured more quickly. And it could
also use some cities in some of the areas. But yeah, that's really all you need to do since the map's layout looks
pretty good :)
(I'm not an expert, so I didn't really look deeper into anything and I can be wrong sometimes :)

I'd also recommend leaving only the two bases as pre-owned for the same reason. The more
options players have on day 1, the harder it is to counter FTA. By giving them more
funding and an extra unit class, things are still a bit complex for FTA to be countered
accurately. Also the center bases/airports seem too contested and are probably prone to
rush/interruption tactics, especially considering the intermediate base that could be
bypassed in favor of the other. The extra funding at the beginning exacerbates this by
making APCs and recons more viable. Basically, you want the bases to be settled without
dispute, then have the conflict develop from there. If the bases are never clearly
established for one player or another, the whole gradual expansion and escalation of force
into the midgame becomes disrupted and gameplay becomes awkward and often one-sided.
