The first player need 1 turn extra to start the capture in the bridge (don“t play with Javier). Have fun with my map. |

That is an insufficient fta counter as the two bases are closer to the important property and the battle as a whole. if both players are equally competent then OS will win every time. They go first with 8K funds and two bases. that means that BM's turns will always be catching up to what OS has done. the small size of the map compounds the inequality in the fta counter. Edit: Now that you've reduced the starting bases to 1. the 10K funds are a bit of an issue. the, first turn could easily be a recon or a tank to heckle the enemy very early for a huge difference. Also, due to distances, OS can still start capturing their neutral base at the same time. here: Turn 1, os builds an infantry for some reason and moves their infantry. BM moves their infantry, and builds, maybe another infantry, or a recon or something. Turn 2. OS starts capturing their neutral base, and does other stuff, BM then starts building their neutral base, maybe their airport then as well if they wish. But OS can still start building on their base at the same turn as BM. with the high starting funds, balancing is going to be difficult. It's also not much of a Power or Money. is it? it's more of a Power, and Money. |

Well, I changed the base and the airport and I add a pipelines. With these changes I think this map is much more balanced. |

1 base maps are difficult to balance. one infantry a turn ahead on a single city really won't cut it with 9K starting funds. and OS will in general still be able to build from the neutral base faster, as they can build an artillery on the first turn, move it, and build an infantry, then finish breaking the pipe seam first, letting them start capturing the neutral base first. I'm also a bit concerned with the two space wide sections for both fronts. it's a little cramped. Also with all of the funds set back, pushing forward will be slow, as there's not a lot of property towards the middle to fight over. it's all set back, ensuring that each side will get almost all of their property with little to no fighting over it. And with the airport locked behind pipes, that's going to hinder the map as the pipeseams restrict where air units are capable of flying. 14X19 maps are always going to be cramped or too open. and balancing funds, base placement, and fta counters is going to be an issue. Listening to suggestions and working on coming up with solutions to what people think might be balance issues is always a good place to start. |

I changed this map to become more balanced, and now i retirate 4 owned citys, but the number of total citys is the same. The thing is capture the bases. |

Shadow Star (11/23/2017 01:08am):
Yeah, so.... Orange Star is still probably going to build from both Bases first. the starting infantry starting capture of a city or a com tower one turn ahead is, less useful than capturing that second city. So, the map is different, but, OS is still ahead in probably 9/10 games. |

OAS1994 (11/23/2017 01:01pm):
Probably the Blue Moon capture first the 6 cities, 2 com, 1 airport, 1 base from upper left of map because the start infantry on the bridge. With this Bule Moon is a turn ahead on this 10 properties . The Orange Star probably capture first the 6 cities, 2 com, 1 arport, 1 base from middle lower and lower left of map because orange star build a infantry in base first, with this orange star is one turn ahead in other 10 properties. I think now if this map is totally balanced. |
