fix your head. |

That was a really nice comment. You must have twelve girls swarming after you right now because of your kindness. Cool idea having a sort of island that landers can also traverse, but that makes other sea units limited to only the top or bottom part of the lake. 7/10 (in reality I gave it a 10 to fix Mrs. Warhammer's unfair rating). |

to counter first turn advantage |

mountainwindcat (02/06/2006 01:02pm | Edited: 02/06/2006 01:02pm):
I don't believe in first turn advantage. I'll continue to say it. Want to know what a real advantage is? Having a unit that will have captured a seaport by the time you have a unit that can actually move! Take the predeployed out. |
|
Nahbien (02/07/2006 12:58am):
FTA is very nasty. If you would like to be shown it on this map, we can play, you go second and delete that infantry. I'll stop you from getting your extra cities in the center, and I will be able to go place indirects first, and slowly cripple you until you lose. That my friends, is first turn advantage. |
|
Phyte (02/10/2006 03:15pm):
I'm kind of new, so sorry if this is stupid, but there's something I've never understood about this whole FTA thing. Surely giving one team a predeployed infantry just means that they now have the advantage instead? Obviously, Jade Sun will start by capturing that seaport straightaway (another point - why not just have the infantry start on the port?), whilst OS will have only built and infantry by this point. Now OS will always, effectively, be one step behind. ...No? |
|
Preparation-H (02/18/2006 12:09pm):
It's just giving Jade Sun FTA, and through that, they believe the map becomes...balanced. Because whoever goes first will obviously always win, right? |
|
Dullahan (02/26/2006 10:53am):
No. You're completely ignoring the fact that OS (GE) gets a whole turn's worth of income over BM (JS). Remember to take into account all possible factors when considering turn advantages. |
|
longbow (02/26/2006 11:50am):
this is mad 1 who ever go's first may have an advantage but they have to deploy first so GE may deploy a recon but JS then have a choise to counter attack by deploying a tank if u have ever completed all 3 games then u can say u no it all untill then dont juge by what u see juge by what u know |
|
Nyvelion (04/19/2006 01:16pm):
I've actually played this map and have found it to be quite fair, especially compared to some of the more horrible maps that somehow made it onto the "Guide to Fun and Fair playable maps on AWBW" |

AUGH PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND FTA NOOBS LOLOL. |
|
WWN HooHa Man (07/31/2006 08:03am):
Truthfully, I don't really like this map. Land battles on the side will become a Grit's heaven, while the area in the middle is simply a battle to stay in/out of each other player's ranges for the stronger unit. All and all, it's a contest (for Grit) to see if you can clog the sides and rain heck down on the middle. Or for direct combat battles it's just a direct right-out-of-the-factory unit brawl. It's...alright. Not nearly the best in the world. Sorry. |
|
GaoGaoStegosaurus (08/30/2006 09:42am):
Then again, Grit is always banned to begin with... 8/10 |

I wonder if people actually take advantage of the lander thing... |
