Changelog:

Deleted some shoals near the airport.Fixed the FTA problem

Cuddly (09/17/2021 12:16pm):
I’ll give you credit for having a unique take on “Airport locked behind pipes” with that recon, but the only other thing that this
map is different from 1vs1 Okehazama is the artiliary, which is just bad design. Players shouldn’t have to waste 19,000 funds
on a rocket+recon to safetly take their own properties, and cheese like taking your opponent’s Comm tower (where it’s not in
contested area) means you can’t take it back without a large portion of your army dedicated to it.
But what makes this 7 rated map a 3 is the fact that it’s a rip-off of a much better map.
SuKo02 (01/06/2022 06:38am | Edited: 01/06/2022 06:38am):
- -||| This S-Rank FoW map is the Original version. 1vs1 Okehazama is a wyj clone of this map.

So, first of all, there is no "rip-off".
Secondly since its more well defined front wise and you can try for more things in FoW.
And personally think that this original map is the so-called "much better map".

Sami-YingXiangLi (01/29/2022 10:55pm):
This map is in the Hall of Fame as one of the most influential competitive fog maps of its era (approx. 2018 - 2019).
SonjaTheSuperior (07/26/2022 05:54pm | Edited: 07/26/2022 05:55pm):
I would agree with Suko02 that this map is better then 1vs1 okehazama (I also didnt know that wyj was trying to clone this
map, although I saw plenty of similarities). The airport area and recon/apc/arty are very nice touches on this map.

While I'm making this comment I should probably also say its a great map and very much deserves the S rank. Maybe it should
see a return to league, really enjoyed it in 2018-2019.

The design of limiting the mobility of the air force is very good. In addition, the wide plain is also suitable for tank propulsion.

Why Sami is in T4? I'm so confused.

The forests on both sides plus bridges can completely prevent the enemy from attacking. Sami can use APC to occupy the
front line ahead of time, use artillery to knock down the reconnaissance vehicles, and then support the front line. He can even
use Mech in the forest to ambush.

This map is full of too much confusion, which is really difficult for people to master in a short time. Not recommended. Players
who maintain GL scores can take a break and play other games
LuxShade (10/21/2022 11:45pm):
Pretty sure Flak threw the recons onto that shoal tile next to the airport. No other explanation for that.
likegel (10/22/2022 08:14am | Edited: 10/23/2022 12:02pm):
In view of this map, players need to be familiar with many details and briefly introduce the opening process.

At the beginning, one infantry occupied the city next to the pipeline, and the other occupied the city in the middle of the map.
The transport ship used the first two rounds to take the APC back to the mainland. The friendly artillery needed to move up
one space to ensure fire coverage.

APC is used to transport infantry and occupy two adjacent cities on the front line. At this time, APC can be used to transport
Mech to attack tanks near the enemy airport.

On the 8th or 9th day, artillery and infantry will be created. The artillery will move under the forest next to the isolated island
of the airport (the artillery will not block the movement of other infantry), and the infantry will follow. In the next round, they
will go up the mountain and attack the reconnaissance vehicle with artillery.

To sum up, it is completely unknown whether the map author was drunk and made this map. APC and artillery can be placed
where they should be.

If you don't want to spend time practicing, it is easy to cause an unfair confrontation. In addition, T4 recommends Sami for
the reasons mentioned above. Because the APC is sent at the beginning of the game, the transportation is very convenient.
In addition, in the early stage, it is easy to break out infantry battles. Sami has full leadership ability in the early stage.

It is absolutely possible to move the early cities forward, so as to improve the early income and avoid the infantry without
tank support during the occupation. APC on the mainland can also be ready to transport the infantry of the second round to
occupy two cities adjacent to the front line.

As I said above, if you want a fair fight, I suggest you change a map.

All I got to say is play the Co that controls the map if there is a problem. I haven't played it yet but I have a match. You can
always mix things up by saving money for something and go for something different out of your text book.

It would have been nicer if those silo missle tiles would have been harbors instead of silo missles. The harbors here don't
have enough value tiles in the middle to consider battleships or carriers while some maps are worth looking into. Without any
edits I can the see harbors maybe being used for black boats and transport for men and mechs but thats pretty much it. Air
ports and factories are used because usually there isn't enough value placement for battleships. If the map had valuable
harbors with the right conditions to use them, I would consider using battleships. Recons and tanks and anti air are pretty
good against a man attacks and have good defence. Just make sure if you see mechs to comit on attacking it and that area or
stay away from it so it doesn't attack. Another imporant thing to remember is the farther away your units are to your base, the
longer it is for your newly built units to be there.

Likegel transports only help men gain movement unless your trying to be sneaking with some kind of unit.
likegel (10/23/2022 12:29am | Edited: 10/23/2022 07:08am):
Sami can makeTransports gain +1 movement., and the infantry can occupy two adjacent cities in the center of the
map in advance. (In the second round, the landing boat places the APC above the base near the enemy reconnaissance
vehicle, and in the next round, the new infantry can directly take the APC to reach the center of the map.)

Many maps made by Sami YingXiangLi lack early income, so the front line often needs infantry to fight. In addition, because
of the existence of APC, Sami's early suppression ability is too high.

The same is true of Frostleaf, which uses black boat and river crossing bridges to block the advance of vehicles and units.
However, the airport on that map is not restricted, and Mech's suppression ability cannot play a sufficient role

Edit:
See the above comment that the port is used for shipbuilding.

Remind this guy that the middle of the map is separated by the mainland, and the player sea areas on both sides of the map
are not connected

But by the way, you can send the landing craft to the entrance of the enemy's airport to block the enemy's helicopters. Finally,
you can get 12000 charges

After more than 20 games, I just feel sick. If I don't watch the replay, I don't know where I made a mistake.

Next time I see the map made by Sami-YXL, I just hope that the opponent can agree to a draw and skip the game.
SilverWolf03 (10/26/2022 12:58pm):
maybe best to put in black boats on hq, otherwise Sami needs to be banned
Lost and Found (10/29/2022 02:22am):
I am very confused about Sami being supposedly too strong on a map with this low
infantry count due to only two bases and HQs this far back.

I'm not sure how some of the build orders mentioned above can deal with early tanks,
either - especially given how hard it is to defend your limited-supply-later-on infantry
against them if you open with, for instance, artillery on a side flank and then turbo your
infantry into the center.
Kantbei (10/29/2022 06:16am):
How are people losing to sami on this map. Genuinely confused as she doesnt seem remotely
viable to me

Unggoy Slaya (11/15/2022 04:17pm):
Very weird games. Slow, very few contested properties. Two base. Not a fan.
TwoYearsGone (01/07/2023 02:44am):
Middle is completely worthless so most fights end up being contesting the chokepoints near the airports. Very stalematey on a
map that doesn't initially look like it would lead to long, drawn-out fights. 3.8 in 51 ratings says quite a bit
melly (03/17/2023 09:39am):
the fuck is this a hall of fame map?
