D0uble_Tap (09/03/2018 08:35pm | Edited: 09/04/2018 11:39am):
NOTE: This is a map designed for AW4 / Days of Ruin / Dark Conflict. Please replace the spent silo pads with Wasteland tiles. Anyone attempting to play on AW1-3 or AWBW will have to replace the tiles with something else that will slow vehicles down... [Suggestions welcome]. Also Labs are Radars. If you play on AWBW, Javier is banned due to unbalancing with the large number of towers. I'll make a version without towers sooner or later. 6 towers is crazy, i know This map is designed to be played with the following rules: FOW On; Income 1000 For some reason i had it set to Funds 5000 on my DS... Considering I had to add OS / BM HQ in the lake to the south [omit those if playing on AW4], i think it about evens out. Not sure why i had the extra funds in the first place... Hey everyone, I'm D0uble_Tap. I specialize in making maps with heavily asymmetrical designs. This map is designed to be a FOW map with a very significant twist: You've got a giant map and no central HQ. You have two bases to start with but you've also got the capacity to expand very quickly out to the corners of the map and prepare your defenses. If you lose your middle two bases, it's not a complete loss, because then you know your enemy's focusing that area first. You'll have plenty of time to see thte enemy coming with three radars for BM and two for OS as well as strategic gaps in the dense foliage to easily see if your enemy's coming... Well, just enough, with plenty of Forest tiles to hide. Flare and Recon use is important here. I've only been able to test this map vs AI, but I can clear both sides in approximately the same number of days. First turn attack bonus shouldn't be an issue since early bum rushing the opponent is more or less a waste of time with all the properties around the perimeter of the map |
