I like this map, it is not symetrical and it gives both sides chances to set up their own
varying lines of battle. With all the roads, these battles are going to be moving all over
the map. My only suggestion would be to add a tree here and there to add some FOW surprises.
I give this one an 8 though for being a very straitforward 1 on 1 battle.

k i add forrest on nice places, i think on the double mountains on the base sides for
example to hide a rocket or something, and so on

It's very nice, and I like it without forests. Maybe you should move one of the closest cities to
YC though, it seems a bit favoured.

nm now, although YC still seems to be at a disadvantage because the YC airports are
slightly farther away from the action. Minor though.

This is a Max's wet dream of a map. Colin and Hachi would be hard pressed to defeat Max on
this map.

This isnt balanced nothing to balance fta, or should I say the FTA balance doesn't work,
because GE has an extra citie...

They both have seven properties. Except AB gets two airports when GE only has one, so
it's much easier to launch an air assault. One could argue AB's capturing is a bit easier, too.

Nice tree-less city map... good because in Fog Of War it will require very different strategy
than on the usual standard " bit of everything " map.
Artwork ? Symmetry ? I agree with borgez who says earlier that the asymmetry means the
same tactic doesnt get repeated round the other side of the map ...and its more realistic. I
think resources are distributed fairly and thats what counts. I m sure that any asymetry
unfairness will be smaller than that from choosing COs so not generally worth worrying
about.
Please dont add any forest --- thats the uniqueness of this map. This is an old map .....
nowadays few would risk the wrath of the trolls by having no trees and wonky symetry :)

Duel Striker pointed out that this map has severe FTA ... which took me by surprise during a
game ... YELLOW COMET BE WARNED. Since this map is so popular and A rank, its
surely worth getting a decent fta counter fixed up. I d suggest give YC an infantry on a
base PLUS a t -copter perhaps on the rear airport? ... or maybe a recon toward the rear
would do ...any suggestions?

map analysis stats show only slight advantage to green = 51 % with light orange +yellow=
41 % with 8 % draws !?
..... Please Duel or someone, put it into good 2 player maps ... until we can get Edi to come
out to fix it. This map is a classic, very important lessons to be learnt here .
Actually theres ratjher more draws than on most maps!? its a pity no-one s left any
comments as to what happened in these games?

I don't trust map analysis personally, as random variation between the skill levels of two
players will more or less even out over time. Equally skilled players playing will show
possible imbalance, but since it's very very unlikely that two non-pro players will be similar in
skill, the analysis page won't ever show true imbalances in the map, only the players. Two
good players will opt not to play on a clearly unbalanced map, so even matches are bound to
never happen.

but, Tyrael, dont you think this map with its faults, has a simple originality and worth keeping
around or correcting? Whats wrong with having one or two tree-less city maps? Sure
theres no-where to hide in fog and its real fast moving with all the roads.. thats what makes
it different and an important lesson for everyone to play on at least once.
