lol, can you both avoid spamming, we're losing track of the amazingness of the map... |
|
technolink (03/02/2006 04:21pm):
Yea, it really is, amazing, a perfect blend of naval and land, with plenty of funding to go around. i'm OS, I thought I would have a challenge at first, but everything is great because my opponents (BM and YC) have to capture a port, and than defend off my superior naval force. I dont' have to worry about HQ capture, and I really don't have to worry about the enemy blocking my bases. I got a BM base for a nice foothold on land. Everything is perfect about thsi map! |

Hey! Wheres the RAF!? Well, not a bad map. It looks like it would be fun in FOW. |

technolink (04/02/2006 11:28am):
Actually, I have one complaint, I can't get my battle ship from the Atlantic ocean into the Baltic sea. Perhaps moving the whole UK over one space so that there can be a passage, or maybe that was purposeful? |

Phase3 (04/15/2006 09:08am):
Yeah, g-dog I agree with you. This map is amazing. |

Nahbien (04/20/2006 01:13pm):
BM is at a great advantage in this map. They can secure 2 neutral bases easy, and stop GE from getting theirs near BM. Then blue can take it too. While green earth has to also fend off an OS invasion also. Yc can produce a sub on their port, and if they manage to put another dived sub in the other port, they can never lose. Map is very unbalanced. |
|
g-dog (04/27/2006 09:27am):
Has the above player actually tried out the map? |

Furthermore, with BM as powerful as you claim they would be it is hard to see how YC could capture the port in the Crimea and sink a sub it in when it\'s within striking distance of (what would be) two of BM\'s bases. As for GE, from experience, if anything, they grow too powerful. They often get both Spain and Italy as well as part of Germany, ending up with higher funds than the others around them. |

this is amazing, im playing it right now on my ds. wooooow |
|
Lenty (06/17/2006 10:39am):
If YC captures the upper port however and has a dived sub there as well as in their base they are impossible to defeat. Thus you get a bad rating for your dirty dirty tactic. David. |

lol, it wasn't on a map it was a pm; and, unlike tom, I delete them. |

Linkx4 (10/13/2007 04:58pm):
putting a sub on the upper port is over rated. There's still a small passage there. omg!!! it's been a YEAR since the last comment!! |

Harkonnen (10/26/2011 03:51pm):
That think technolink said about Baltic Sea and Atlantic Ocean being cut off is true, and sucks. Only landers can pass through there. Really makes it hard for OS to be mobile. |
|
Harkonnen (11/21/2011 12:55pm):
Rated 1 for ocean cutoff and YC sub drop |
|
Noname237 (08/17/2021 07:37pm):
@godnick WOW! I didn't know that AWBW could be played on the DS. OH WAIT! |

Runecloud1 (09/10/2022 10:44am):
Map is really good, if unbalanced for Red. Red is at a strong disadvantage starting. Green and Blue seem to be at power positions, given how much territory they may pick up very quickly and uncontested. Yellow is in a defensive stronghold. While they may not be able to push offensive right away, they can turtle HARD and stall losing by choking access. Biggest change that could/should be done to this map is to connect most, if not, all the ports/bodies of water together. Would make the map more dynamic and Naval battles more interesting. Bare minimal is removing the shore by the Port next to Green's base. Port already allows landers/black boats to land, shore isn't needed and would open the water map up. |
