Thanks you're awesome! I always try to make maps with something different and still playable, always in the limitations of my map making abilities of course. I think the general guidelines are here (terrain variety, multiple fronts, multiple cap routes, multiple supply routes, enough buildings, no choke points, etc.) and I think there are some interesting features like the river/shoal transversal front line, the lake with a port with access to front line but not to the opponents vertical portion of the map, the pipeline that slows the other side. I think this can play out in different ways, it can become a top-down or remain left-right. On the HQ front line, enemies have cities to heal and continue the attack, and forests to hide ambushes, so HQ capture is very viable. Likewise, it can go the other way around... the pipeline might slow so much that the other player steals the comm tower and keep rolling. |
