Checklist:

- Quirky/underused country combos
- 3 Bases
- (Almost) every city is connected by a single road
- Comm tower
- S H O A L L A K E
- Corners of the map are heavy terrain that ends up unused
- middle is a literal hellhole of 3-2 stars vs 0 stars terrain
- either entirely empty of pipes or pipes are it's only standout feature
- 40%+ of the map is plains
- predeployed unit that's gonna run out of fuel
- sprinkled heavy terrain
- neutral base is a recon-rush bait that only works on new players
- 1 favorite, 0 ratings
- only time seen is a Z game that's going to disappear before anyone plays it

So, thoughts?
Lost and Found (06/24/2021 11:36am):
- The third one isn't an average new map, that's an average map made by me.
- the pipe thing applies to about every map
- there is no way an unnecessary 2 movement bboat runs out of fuel

On more serious notes, essentially no contested properties and bland fronts are an
oof. The HQ is within vehicle range of three production facilities, which makes it look
really safe too.

There is a way that B-Boat can run out of fuel. Even on shoals they burn some fuel. So if the battle lasts long enough, they will
eventually 'sink', unless players keep it supplied by APCs.
zotrilp (06/24/2021 12:27pm):
^ You will use it for cheeky repairs and infantry capture phase so yes it will most likely run out

^^ changelog:

moved HQs closer to contested zone

Shoved forests into mid

Silos, silos everywhere

Comms are pretty contested although closer to horizontal edge and there's some cities that
imo can be contested, I'll revisit in a while

Lost and Forgotten (06/24/2021 02:06pm):
"Most likely run out"...?
It'd take 33 turns if you always go for the 2 spaces. By then this map is gonna be over
for sure.

That stuff aside, looks better now. Lots of pressure on the lone base area with the
center being fairly irrelevant, but going to drop it into New for the time being.
