This map tends to end up in an hq capture race. Its very difficult to defend against an airport and base with just one base. I'd highly recommend going Lash in tier 3 matches since with prime tactics it's even harder to stop her from hq capping |

docks completely irrelevant, base close to HQ gets easily shut down with unless using indirect to get a hold on the choke point. |

this map is the worst map i've ever played, one of the base is completely dominated by B copter and A-air cant do crap as there's only one way to get out, not to mention theres only 4 factories in this freaking map |

After playing this map more, I realize Rachel is arguably better than Lash in t3. Fighting is usually condensed around the cities between the bases, and since theres only 2 bases her missiles are harder to bait away from the frontlines. Lash has to play around Rachel's missiles very carefully |

Its an interesting map, but I think it is hurt by not having an additional base/airport for both sides. The problem is how the map's fronts are set up. From looking at it before a match starts you can obviously see a weak front at your HQ with chokepoints and terrain to defend. Plus a second more open and offensive front with the airport to push your opponent. However, in practice it turns into a 4 front map. with two offensive fronts and two defensive fronts. This happens because the terrain, specifically the oceans, force you to split to attack specific areas. Which makes air units very powerful here. The chokepoints also result in units becoming compartmentalized into combat zones because it is harder to reinforce other sectors quickly. It definitely leads to some abnormal gameplay. HQ capping is probably the easiest way to win, so games shouldn't stall out too much from a stubborn player. However you do need to recognize your opponent pushing there early to correctly counter it. It takes a couple turns for reinforcements to reach the HQ. Having good map control over the center was something that helped me, it allows you to better react to either front. It also allows you to tie down opposing forces near their production, giving you a chance to push their HQ. Definitely not the worst map ever, but not a great map. I think replacing a city or the port with another base/airport would help. Then you have 1 production facility per front. Air units are very important here, and are harder to counter because of the split fronts, so keep that in mind. If you need practice at fighting on a map with separated fronts, this is great practice. |

Eagle looks great here but not really. It's a HQ race map and he always last to assert pressure because Lightning Strike too slow. |

Maybe to some it is entertaining for the HQ rush, but there's little counterplay having 1 production buildings to 2 and a lake on your weakside. I do not enjoy it. |
