Map Makers Message: Hope people find this map enjoyable. Not played the Advance Wars series in a while and had some fun making this map. Please let me know what you think. Playing Notes: This Map was intended to be played with Fog of war on, any other settings are at you discretion. Design notes: Left and right sides are vertically symmetrical, while the middle section is diagonally symmetrical. There are bits that are not perfectly mirrored but I adjusted things to keep them as balanced as possible. The HQ's are placed near the center to help avoid a stalemate. The left and right fronts are meant to provide support to the central battlefield. The enemy anti air missile unit in each factions side are meant to help build early game pressure until dealt with. They can't be easily reached but are equally not overly time consuming to get to. Units provided to both side; the lander's to help ferry units to the side island, the anti air missiles is to provide some early protection on the right front from aircraft, the medium tank is a fun wild card. Battle Notes: Well there are 4 objectives, 1) The Center, simple really capture the enemy's HQ while protecting your own 2) The Right, sail over and gain control over as many missile silos as possible and capture the airfields 3) The Left, get control over the broadcast towers 4) The Rear, remove the enemy anti air missile unit from spying on what you producing and let you use your central airport The first one is key to keep in mind and protect, the second and third ones will help tip the balance of power, the fourth one can be ignored till mid game to be dealt with. Change Log: Minor map tweaks to reduce number of bottle necks, Changed comment to better reflect whats in the map, |
