My attempt at a 3-player map that while likely not perfectly balanced, should at least be interesting, I hope. Mostly for me and my friends but figured I'd share with everyone. Happy to hear suggestions for balance changes, especially if I made any big goofs. Hopefully good in or out of Fog of War. |

If you ban T-Copters, you force the game to be played to rout. Is that the intention? |

I'm noticing that the seams causes both players on the bottom to focus the player in the top. That's a problem. |

Yes, the intention is to play route, as HQ capture in 3-player pretty much counts as an instant win due to the sudden income shift. I was under the impression T-copters can't unload while over sea so they don't need to be banned to prevent HQ capturing. It's also difficult to place them fairly as a 3-player map can't easily be equal travel distance to each. If the consensus is a need for HQ caps I might connect each HQ via the closest relative city. As for the other issue, could you explain how this causes Green and Yellow to focus Grey? My intention was to make the path to Grey be faster but further while the front between Green and Yellow is relatively close and high-impact, slowed only by the pipe seams. Rushing Grey means you leave that front uncontested, making it easy for your opponent to snag the com and base located there which would easily allow one to bowl over the opponents two bases. This is my intention at least, I would be happy to hear how I could improve this to function as intended if this isn't happening. |
