Concept: I based the design off of MOBA pathways and a map a friend and I made way back when in the original AW2. Players basically have to manage three different fronts. And, of course, player 2 starts with one Infantry on their HQ. The large, two-tile wide Bridges serve as the main roads while the Shoals represent the shortcuts in-between. Unclaimed Bases should take a turn or two to reach. Likewise, the Airports and Harbor should take three or more. Players can also opt to save up for a Lander or Black Boat and snipe the Airport opposite their HQ, but there would be an almost certain chance their enemy has already reached it. The already-owned Harbors on either players' starting area is purposefully behind a Shoal. Therefore, the only way they can utilize the rest of their navies is to capture the Harbors on either the top or bottom roads. In this way, the importance of Landers and Black Boats is emphasized. All designs here are based solely on the AW2 meta. I'm not completely sure what the movement meta for AWBW is yet, so please enlighten me. I hope that anyone can find some enjoyment with this map if ever they decide to play a match on it. |
