Go ahead and rate the map honestly; give me a 1 or whatever, but give me tips to make it
more balanced, without moving HQ's.

OS is New Orleans, BM is Shreveport, GE is Baton Rouge, YC is Monroe, BH is Lake
Charles, RF is Jackson (in Mississippi). Ok
BlitzStrike (06/28/2005 01:24pm):
DEFORESTATION!!!
daytonausafan (06/30/2005 02:46pm):
Yeah, but Louisiana has lots of forests and swamps in real life.

Sonja rules in FOW with her powers while Lash and Grit work well outside of FOW and have a
major advantage with FOW. Also, there appear to be two illegal shoal tiles along the
southern part of the map.
daytonausafan (07/07/2005 06:03pm):
Lash has an advantage on this map cause of all the forests, but then again, she has that
same advantage on many other maps too. Grit has the range advantage with the forests,
but there are also plains around the roads, so it's difficult to use chokepoints there. Sonja
can see in the forests; well, then good for her. If removing a few forests will help, I'll do it.
But I was mostly concerned about the placement of cities, so that one army doesn't end up
with more profit than the other . . .
daytonausafan (07/07/2005 09:58pm):
About the illegal shoal tiles, they were intentional. They don't look that bad, but I can swap
them out with plains if it is awful.

It's hard to think about Louisiana without thinking about boating in the numerous lakes,
bayous and rivers. I think it would be cool if you replaced all the river tiles with
single-tile-wide ocean tiles and put in ports. That way naval units could be sent up and
down the bayous. Although pulling that off without breaking up the roads a whole lot would
be tricky, especially with I-10 in the south. But regardless, this is a very cool map. I
like your rendition of a real-world place. Maybe I'll have to create a map of the Houston
area? I'm not sure I could fit all of Texas in one map. (;

Replace the bottom half of the map with sea and it'll be accurate.
daytonausafan (09/29/2006 06:09pm):
Replace the bottom half with sea and it'll be like Hurricane Katrina (which I was in the eye of,
BTW)

First look tells me yellow comet and green earth will have a real bad day getting sandwiched,
while black hole will be free and left alone for a long while.

Blue moon will be able to block yellow comet from capping first turn if yellow comet decides to
go west to cap from their western base.

Still, looks real fun!
