I used a bicycle card deck for inspiration. Made after an unpleasant experience with The Ace of Spades, loved the idea but
pretty much chose one of the worst possible cards for a map (even if it does look pretty cool). Too big, too long to get a fight
going, too much money with nothing to spend on (if you forget to modify funds it's just mega spam all day) and thus no point in
worrying about losing money from repairs. So my playing card map is a bit smaller and more symmetrical.
This was originally going to be a King of Clubs but it's really dang hard to draw a club compared to a diamond at this scale.
