This map is not for FOW, and definitely not League Matches. I played against a new player. During the last stretch of the game, he built a wall of indirects in the forests/cities nearest to his HQ, and just camped there. Making it nearly impossible to cap. He refused to resign, and just made it a really boring 40+ day game. Feedback: - Change from FOW. I don't think this is a FOW Map. -Change the position of the HQ's and the cities in the middle, so the HQ does not have the bases/factories behind it. this will make it harder for opponents to wall up with indirects. |

This map's early game is really slow thanks to all the terrain, and recons' movement is terrible. I don't know if that's good or bad. |

@Tmi489 - I meant to say HQ, but I'm sure you're smart enough to know that...right? @AA01blue - not Artys, Rockets. Just put 2 rockets in forest, surround with infantry/Artys and stall. Even better if you're an Andy/Jess |

I recommend trying the classic strategy of "oh, they built an indirect blob? I'll grab all the other cities on the map, and then overrun him all in one turn instead of throwing some dudes every turn", it helps alot! |

I dread playing on this map, as everything on it from forests to mountains just slows you down. Slow down your push, there might be artillery or rockets. Slow down when near the coast, there might be a battleship. I have had and seen matches where almost all of the contested cities remain unclaimed past day 20 because of how slow reinforcements are to arrive and how easy they are to defend with the nearby forests and mountains. I get that a slower, more methodical match is appealing to some (the map maker themselves probably), but judging by the rating on this map (3.11), i'd say i'm not the only one who finds this map painfully dull. 1/10 |

This map gave me an awful first impression. After actually playing at it once, I felt some parts were indeed sluggish, but there was some captivating stuff in it. Mostly how well you can play around both black boats. IMHO the map would improve a lot if changes were made to speed up the start. One more infantry for both players, or changing some terrain, idk. Also, maybe a few more roads connecting to the center of the map. I think the mountains and HQ there are really cool, but the rest is just quite literally, plain. Looks even aesthetically lacking. 5/10. Has potential to improve. |

I like this map a lot, especially the option for naval units. However, I can't help but feel that the bridges on the top left and bottom right are unnecessary. Sure, someone might attempt to walk a mech or infantry there on its own, but doing that would take ages to get the comm tower and could cause one to lose the game, so I doubt anyone is ever going to walk over the bridge. The bridge further incentivises you to not make naval units, and I am not sure if having a bridge to those islands where there's hardly anything there but not having a bridge to the bottom left and top right islands makes sense aesthetically and design-wise. This is where I mention I always walk the infantry that captures the airport to the tower afterwards, since it has nothing else to capture at that point and you won't need the second tower anytime soon if you only take safe fights (and it comes around day 13 or so) |

9/10 I have had great first impressions on this map. The map is slower, there is no way to harass early because of the terrain and distance. However it leads to some great strategic decisions, where to spawn stuff, where to send units etc. And it's not too hard to reinforce each corner because the center is fairly open. The HQ's are guarded by the Black Boats, but still under threat because of their central location. Leading to action that is spread out quite well. It is a slower map and requires a good understanding of when to attack and when to back off. Especially with both sides having two com towers. That makes first strikes much more important, and indirects less viable. Since their blocking units are much more easily OHKO'd. the only real complaint us the production areas are very easily defended with the amount of mountains. Which forces you to win with an HQ Capture if your opponent refuses to resign and just digs in hard. Unless you have vastly superior numbers you will be unable to break that line, and you must kill the black boat to capture. However, given how open it is that should be possible with enough of an advantage. The center is fairly barren of roads which makes recons very sluggish, but there are mountains to compensate. Not going to comment either way there. I can definitely understand the criticism of the map, but I do not believe it deserves such a low rating. |

I'm not really a big fan of this one. In my matches, it always kind of just turns into a game of "who can hide the most indirects around the 3 contested cities on both sides". The possibility to steal your opponents com tower is fun at least. I'm also in pain whenever I get a league match on this map, because I know that it will take forever. Just a little too big for my taste I guess |

I like this map a lot. Tons of freedom. Give the neutral factory a smidge of pipeline so the piperunner bros can join this party and it'll be perfect. |
