My first map on the website. Tried to apply what I learned from the maps I've seen so far, although I'm pretty sure I might've overlooked things here and there. Any feedback is most appreciated! |

Changelog Revision 4.1 - 22 September 2021 - Renamed map to better fit the current naming gimmick. :P Revision 4 (22nd Aug 2021) - Replaced the port with a city. - Removed one city on east side, CI's perspective. - Repositioned neutral base and Comm Tower slightly. Revision 3 (15th Aug 2021) - Scrapped the idea of having a lake with an airport on the corner, and instead went for a mountain range, slowing down Infantry willing to capture the airport while also removing the need to build (a rather limited) naval transport to reach it. - Moved bases around. Most importantly, forward neutral base has been pushed back a fair bit while the lone preowned base on the weak front has been pushed forwards one tile. - Moved Comm Towers towards the sides of the map to encourage a secondary objective away from the map's center, hopefully enabling some more choices during gameplay. - Rearranged some terrain and property tiles around. - Reduced property count a tiny bit. Revision 2 (13th August 2021) - Replaced river tile near Comm Tower with a Plains tile. - Replaced the two central river tiles next to the bridges with Shoals. Revision 1 (12th August 2021) - Swapped neutral base with left/right pre-owned base, alleviating the contested Comm Tower issue. - Moved PC Infantry to the eastern base. - Reduced amount of airports per side to 1. |

Great first map, nice work! On first glance, the main concern I have is the abundance of heavy terrain near the central areas. There are several 1-tile chokepoints between river and ocean tiles, which are going to encourage defensive play in those areas. I think the ocean tiles are good, but would recommend removing the last river coming out of the pipe (next to the tower), and changing the two central rivers near the bridges to shoals. Alternatively, if you really want to keep the rivers for aesthetics, move the entire chain about 2-tiles closer to the neutral bases. Just as an FYI, map comments aren't regularly checked for updates, so if you change the map and would like the changes re- reviewed, just hop into the discord #design_maps channel and post the new map. =) |
