+2 Good terrain variety. +2 No chokepoints. +1 FTA counter. -1 Get rid of the two cities for CI and AB. Otherwise AB can build a recon and just go over to CI's area and park on the base. 9/10 |

No chokepoints you say? |
DJ Modulo (07/04/2007 03:21am):
looks nice I won`t rate now, but when I tested it. |
Riukken (07/04/2007 05:49am):
"No chokepoints you say?" - Sirfuxalot There is no such thing as a chokepoint, if it is accessible by air or infantry/mech units, because there is room still to harass the indirects. |

Riukken is on crack. |
DuelStriker (07/19/2007 08:23pm):
Probably. Great map Paine. All of your maps are awesome. |
sirfuxalot (08/11/2007 01:40pm):
It's still a central bottleneck, and there's only two of them. It's a chokepoint by my definition. It doesn't make the map bad, I just thought it was weird that you said no chokepoints when there clearly is. |
HosaD (09/29/2008 08:24pm):
Really good map. even tho the naval battle takes up a small area in the center whoever wins it is pretty much assured victory making it a huge part of the battle. |
Meta Rexy (10/01/2008 07:35pm):
I think you should expand the map vertically by two spaces. One, you'll give the naval ships more space to move instead of getting a bottleneck, and two, you'll fix the chokepoints on the sides of the map. :P 8/10 |
blanci1 (10/11/2008 10:33am):
sirfuxalot notes 2 chokey land fronts while HosaD sees a naval front in centre (was that real experience or imagining?) while i remember learning how to bring down a couple of stealth bombers here by quickly surrounding them with infantry or whatever and then buying a fighter (we had big start funds)... it felt like cheating really , i mean how can ground troops cordon in aircraft !! -- air units should be able to pass across all other units except enemy fighters and stealths fighters and additionally copters shouldnt pass B-copters. Anyway especially in FOG i see plenty of dynamics here, a great map. It might be possible to force a draw , but with 2 widely seperated landfronts, sea-battle , the air ,the mechs over the hills... i think theres every chance it can get unbalanced . Dont hold your breath waiting for a draw. |

This map screams chokepoints and pretty much nothing else. Playable, but not particularly fun probably. 7/10. |

This map has a name! |
Xmo5 (04/11/2017 11:04am | Edited: 04/11/2017 11:05am):
I'll echo Walker here and say that this map is definitely chokey and with only 17k for 3 bases, an airport, and a port, I don't suspect that within the standard AWBW meta you'll see anything but a traffic jam near the top and bottom. Mostly infantry, no naval battle to speak of at that income, and some air units to (maybe) alleviate some of the chokepoint issues? Taking this out of A-Rank and putting it into Casual Play. |
