Paine (11/03/2005 11:56pm):
so you have to play until you can afford a B-ship to take out the arties? |
Stu_Alpha (11/04/2005 12:20am):
Haha. The atties were for that you wouldn't dash for your enemys citys off the first days, the land below is what you want. And the ports are good in a FOW battle when your hiding after you lost your cities (Since you can't HQ capture) Anyway, the map was made so everyone isn't at the same place every game, a good tention puller in a FOW battle |
General_Rommel (11/04/2005 12:37am):
you can't take the HQ's anyhow. You need to be over the landmass you are landing on for T- copters, and a shore or harbor for landers/black boats |
Paine (11/04/2005 07:39am):
yes but you still need to blow up the arty to win |
Stu_Alpha (11/04/2005 04:23pm):
Which why we have airports and seaports. |
Nyvelion (11/04/2005 04:46pm):
you need to fix the area around the hq, or else this map is completely unplayable. |
Stu_Alpha (11/04/2005 07:35pm):
The point is to win by eradicating the army, I took out the ability to win by HQ capture |
Jeeves The Mole (11/22/2005 11:33am):
Just put pipes around the HQs if you don't want them to be accessible. |
Mabolle (11/22/2005 12:20pm):
Jeez, no, that'd be ugly. I think people are missing the point of the HQ locations and the artilleries. Good map, in my book. |
Sol (12/12/2005 11:52am):
Kinda neutral toward this map. Good idea, but flawed implementation. Main problem arises from the fact that some people have much farther to go to find bases, putting them at a severe disadvantage (GS, BD). Furthermore, some of the bases are equally close to multiple people, (BH, YC for example) but closer to one person than the other, leading to one person having the advantage there. Ultimately, it runs into the problem of "if I balanced it in terms of grabbing land on the map, this would pretty much become the same as any other map." But staying unbalanced makes the games a tad unfair. |
EliteBlade (01/18/2006 03:07am):
Dude! THis is from Age of Empires! >_> |
ftyhbvg (03/14/2006 02:51pm):
