Pretty interesting changes. The integration of the islands into the mainland doesn't really detract from the naval battle too much with the current setup. I enjoy the strategic placement of the port birdge/ponds leading into the center, but I'm worried that having a reef that close to the center might make stalemates or long term stand-offs more likely My other concern is how narrow the sea is in a couple spots, particularly just east of PL's western HQ. The other two places I see that are SE of CI's western HQ and SW of PL's eastern HQ, but they will not cause many problems until the end in which case other options may be available to clinch a victory. I like the location of central airports more than previously and I like the incorporation of labs. I do think the outside labs are a bit contested however. Not to say the central ones are easy grabs, but it is much more open and easier to battle over it rather than pinch it off long enough to deprive the enemy of some choice units. Personally I would move it back (slightly) to keep it competitive, but more in the long term sense that a sudden surge forward and gain of ground doesn't leave you without some reward that weakens your opponent. With long supply lines they have to be somewhat contested or you could never push you opponent back far enough. |

xmo5: Thanks for the advice. I made some slight changes to help with choke sea chokepoints and I changed the reefs slightly includeing taking thoise inside ones out. I didnt quite understand your comments about the labs not being contecsted enough. Not sure if you made the comment before or after I changed them from neutral to player owned. But I thought maybe I should give the side lands more equel battle so I gave them bboats to helpo move infantry quicker to help |

airob: Thanks, man! We played this map 2 vs 2 already and I think we all enjoyed it. It was pretty intense and the momentum kind of went back and forth for a while. It's a long game. Be prepared! Also, We played with broken COs allowed. I recommend it. I took out several cities so Sensei and Hachi would have less advantage over grit, colin, etc. |
