And yet not a lot of HQ's. If only the forum was still up, I could totally teach all the new people what labs are actually for. Tired of having to give 1's to every map that uses labs but no HQ's. Not really fair to do that after the forum went down though, so no rating here. |

Tactical advantage. If you have two labs, losing one will not cost you the game. If one of the Four Nations captures an enemy, they will not lose the game so quickly to losing one. |

I know that, that's part of the HQ-substitution use. I wasn't sure what else they could be used for if not used in place of an HQ or in the traditional sense of designating lab units. Nyvelion made it sound like there's some other purpose they serve. |

In any case, this is my final entry into Red11's "Shaka" mapmaking contest. The labs are partly here to give the middle countries some bonus income compared to the others. |
